Commercial bribery, production and sale of forged documents

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia exposed 5 facts of commercial bribery, production and sale of forged documents in Shida Kartli and Mtskheta-Mtianeti regions.

 

Investigation revealed that persons exposed in crime, whose primary work was to provide vocational training and retraining for drivers, with intention to obtain illicit material benefit were issuing forged certificates of passing driver’s training program on citizens who have not undergone such program. 

 

Investigation is underway under the first part of article 362 and the third part of article 221 of  the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisage imprisonment from 2 to 4 years.
