As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia has detained two persons on the fact of selling forged money in a large amount.

Investigation revealed that defendants have brought forged 100 USD banknotes from Republic of Turkey and have sold them in the region of Adjara.

As a result of investigative activities, forged money banknotes in the amount of 10 000 USD has been seized.

The investigation is underway under the second part of an article 212 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 7 to 10 years.
