As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia detained the director of one of the non-entrepreneurial (non-commercial) legal entities of Gardabani Municipality.
Investigation determined that in order to obtain personal material benefit, the accused, using his official authority, demanded a bribe from one of the citizens in exchange for a positive response to the lease / privatization of 4630 m2 of state-owned land plot within the administrative boundaries of Gardabani Municipality and received the amount of GEL 10,000.
Investigation is underway under the first part of Article 338 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment for a term of 6 to 9 years.
