As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out by the representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia one person was brought to the criminal liability on the fact of falsification.

Investigation determined that the accused person, in order to get illegal material benefit, in one of the regions, in an artisanal workshop, systematically produced and sold falsified semi-finished meat products, in which he used soy additives to preserve the taste.

As a result of investigative activities, conducted on the basis of the court ruling, counterfeit products were completely removed from the sales network and the factory. 

For the crime mentioned above, article 197 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, envisages imprisonment from 1 to 3 years.
