INVESTIGATION SERVICE THE MINISTRY OF FINANCE GEORGIA REVEALED TWO FACTS OF BREACH OF THE RULE RELATED TO THE MOVEMENT OF GOODS IN A LARGE AMOUNT ON CUSTOMS BORDER AND FILLED CHARGES AGAINST TWO PERSONS

INVESTIGATION SERVICE THE MINISTRY OF FINANCE GEORGIA REVEALED TWO FACTS OF BREACH OF THE RULE RELATED TO THE MOVEMENT OF GOODS IN A LARGE AMOUNT ON CUSTOMS BORDER AND FILLED CHARGES AGAINST TWO PERSONS

As a result of the coordinated activities of the representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance Georgia and the Customs Department of the Revenue Service, two persons were accused on the two facts of breach of the rule related to the movement of goods in a large amount.

 

Investigation determined, that the accused persons transported large amount of different types of medicines, with total customs value exceeding GEL 37,000, secretly from the customs control, through the customs checkpoint "Sarpi" on the territory of Georgia.

 

Investigation is underway under the first part of article 214 of Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 3 to 5 years.
