As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out by the representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, two persons were brought to the criminal liability on the fact of carrying out entrepreneurial activities without the relevant permit.
Investigation determined that accused persons had set up gaming business facility in their residential house, where without the relevant mandatory permit, using internet, the process of various types of the gambling was broadcasted on the websites of internet casinos operating outside of Georgia.
It was determined, that in case of legal operation of the facilities, as a permit fee, approximately GEL 100 000 should have been paid to the state budget.
Investigation is underway under the second part of Article 192 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 3 to 5 years.
