As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia detained one person on the fact of attempt of misappropriation of large amount of property of another person.

Investigation determined that accused person in the fraudulent intent, contacted one of the persons and convinced him that in exchange for the payment of GEL 30,000 he could help him to abate debt in favor of the budget.

In the above mentioned criminal intent, the accused person demanded a citizen from the above mentioned amount and in advance took a part of GEL 10,000, while his detention took place.

Investigation is underway under the third part of article 180 of Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 6 to 9 years.
