As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out by Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, two groups of criminals have been detected, who were transporting and selling large amount of excisable goods without excise marks.

According to the investigation, one group of persons was selling 96 bottles of alcoholic beverages BELUGA and NEFT in Tbilisi, which was subject to excising, and the second group was transporting 1 900 packs of ZUMERRET cigarette in Batumi, Adjara.

As a result of the investigative actions, the goods without excise marks have been seized and four members of both groups are arrested.

Investigation is underway under the article 200, part II of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 4 to 6 years.
