As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, in coordination with representatives of Customs Department of Revenue Service of Georgia, exposed one person on the fact of breaching the procedure related to the movement of goods across the customs border of Georgia.
Investigation determined, that the accused person, was trying to export 1 139 units of undeclared watches, in a specially arranged compartment of a car driven by him, hidden from the customs control, through customs checkpoint “Sarpi”, from the territory of Georgia to the Republic of Turkey. Total customs value of the seized good equals GEL 17 199.
Investigation is underway under the first part of article 214 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 3 to 5 years.
