Investigation Service exposed three facts of food product falsification

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, representatives of the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia with the representatives of the National Food Agency, exposed three facts of food product falsification. 

 
The investigation revealed, that three enterprises were manufacturing falsified semi-finished meat products and fish, consistency of which did not comply with ingredients provided on the subsequent labels.

 
As a result of investigation, various products in large quantity that were ready for sale were seized and are undergoing relevant expertise.

 
Investigation is underway under the first part of article 197 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 1 to 3 years.
