As a result of investigative activities, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, brought five persons to the criminal liability on the fact of misappropriation of the state property by deceit, as a group. 

Investigation revealed that the accused persons, by using forged acceptance-delivery acts and cadastral measuring drawings, fraudulently registered 11 state-owned land plots in Imereti region, with a total area of 22 037 square meters, market value of which exceeds GEL 23 000.

At this stage of the investigation, part of the fraudulently acquired land plots have been returned to the state ownership, while for the other part - compensation has been paid to the state budget.

Investigation is being continued under the second part of article 180 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 4 to 7 years.
