As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia accused and brought to the criminal liability two persons, one of which is wanted, on the fact of selling forged money.

Investigation determined that the accused persons, in order to receive illegal material benefit, in Kvemo Kartli region, as a group, sold 38 units of forged 50 US Dollar banknotes, having value of USD 1 900.

Investigation is underway under the second part, paragraph “c” of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 7 to 10 years.
