As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out, representatives of the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia have arrested 3 persons on the fact of illegal production of large amount of goods under third party’s trademark in artisanal unregistered enterprise.

Investigation has determined that a group of people acting with prior agreement, arranged an enterprise in Adjara region, where washing detergents were illegally produced under following trademarks: “Fairy” and “Domestos”. Besides this, those goods were produced by using of cheap, low quality materials.

As a result of investigative activities carried out, large quantity of chemical raw materials, etiquettes, bottles, technical equipment used for production of washing detergents were seized together with 2000 units of goods produced under third party’s trademark for sale.

Investigation is underway under the third part of article 196 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 3 to 5 years.
