As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia have exposed four facts of storing, transportation and selling of large amount of goods subject to marking, without excise and imposed criminal liability on four persons.

Investigation has determined that the accused persons were storing, transporting and selling alcoholic beverages subject to marking, without excise in Tbilisi, Mtskheta-Mtianeti and Samegrelo regions.

As a result of investigative activities, in total 256 bottles of various types of expensive alcoholic beverages  - „Hennesy XO”, „CHIVAS REGAL“ „BELUGA“, „NEFT“, „FINLANDIA“ were seized, with the market value exceeding GEL 14 000.

Investigation is underway under the first and second parts of article 200 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 4 to 6 years.
