Acting Head of Investigation Service Mr. Soso Ramishvili met with the Director of Investigation Service of Financial Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania, Mr. Antoni Mikulskis.

On an introductory meeting, parties discussed priorities of the law enforcing authorities, as well as approaches implemented in practice in the field of combating financial-economic crime. The discussion covered also issues regarding sharing experience in different directions and strengthening future co-operation. Parties agreed on signing memorandum on cooperation in the nearest future. 

As Mr. Soso Ramishvili noted during the meeting, it is very important for Investigation Service to share the European experience in terms of implementing modern methods of combating financial-economic crime.

“Effective combating against crime committed in financial-economic field, supports economic development of the state. Therefore, one of the main priorities of our service, is to introduce and share international experience and modern approaches, and to implement them in practice. I am happy that we have an opportunity to share experience of colleague authority from the Republic of Lithuania, introduce them our activities and deepen the cooperation with them in different directions in the future.” - Acting Head of Investigation Service Mr. Soso Ramishvili said.

Director of Investigation Service of Financial Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania, Mr. Antoni Mikulskis noted that cooperation with Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia will deepen in future, in terms of exchange of information, sharing modern methods of combating financial-economic crime, effective investigation and achieving better results.
