The representatives of the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia took part in the training course "Financial Cybercrime and Electronic Evidence," which was held in Batumi and organized by the Academy of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia and the Council of Europe, which fully financed the event. Training on qualification raising was conducted by expert-researchers of the Council of Europe.
During the course, participants were introduced to the field of cybercrime, typology of online criminal money movement, financial investigation and methodology of international cooperation in this field.
Beside the theoretical material, representatives of the Investigation Service have successfully passed all stages of feigned investigation specifically designed by the Experts of the Council of Europe to teach cybercrime.
As a result, the employees of the Investigation Service were handed over certificates of the course in "Financial Cybercrime and Electronic Evidence."
