As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia imposed criminal liability on two persons on fact of misappropriation of large amount of property by means of fraudulent actions.

Investigation has determined that in one case the accused person, by means of forged documents (power of attorney) and fraudulent actions, registered – three land plots of with total area of 2 441 sq./m, on the territory of Tbilisi, with total value of GEL 469 000 as his private property. In second case, the accused person by means of forged documents and fraudulent actions, registered 558 sq./m of state owned land plot, with the total value of GEL 33 862, on the territory of Ninotsminda municipality as his private property.

On this stage, land plots registered by means of fraudulent actions are seized. At the same time, corresponding operative-searching activities are carried out in order to detect and expose other persons involved in above mentioned crimes.

Investigation is underway under third part of Article 180 and first part of Article 362 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 6 to 9 years.
