As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia detained one person on the fact of taking property of another person by deceit for its unlawful appropriation.

Investigation determined, that the accused person, having fraudulent intention, contacted one of the citizens and convinced him that he would be employed at a highly paid position in a public office in Gori municipality in exchange for a certain amount of money.

Having the above-mentioned criminal intention, the accused person took USD 3,500 from the citizen while his detention took place.

Investigation is underway under the second part of article 180 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 4 to 7 years.
