As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, detained four persons on the fact of storing especially large amount of excisable goods subject to marking without excise marks, as a group.

Investigation determined that accused persons were storing especially large amount of non-excised cigarettes in one of the residential houses in Gori district for further sale in order to obtain illegal material benefits.

As a result of investigative activities, 6 490 boxes of non-excised cigarettes have been seized having value of GEL 28 556.

Investigation is underway under the second and third parts of Article 200 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 6 to 8 years.
