INVESTIGATION SERVICE OF MINISTRY OF FINANCE OF GEORGIA HAS EXPOSED TWO FACTS OF STORING TRANSPORTATION AND SELLING OF CIGARETTES WITHOUT EXCISE MARKS

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out, representatives of the Investigation Service of Ministry of Finance of Georgia have exposed two facts of storing, transportation and selling large amount of excisable goods subject to marking, without excise marks.

As a result of investigative activities large amount of different types of cigarettes without excise marks (totally - 3 050 packs) were seized in Tbilisi and Samegrelo region, with the value exceeding GEL 10 000. 

Investigation is underway under first and second parts of article 200 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 4 to 6 years.
