As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, representatives of the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, on the custom’s border of Georgia, exposed facts of violation of custom’s rules and manufacture and use of forged charge card, committed by a group with prior agreement and therefor detained two persons.
The investigation revealed, that representatives of one particular company imported construction materials having value of GEL 41 286 to Georgia, which was put in a customs warehouse mode and by avoiding customs clearance procedures, by manufacturing and use of forged invoices and without appropriate customs duties being payed, materials were sold in Georgia.
Investigation is underway under fifth part of article 214 and first part of article 210 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment form 8 to 11 years.
