As a result of operating-searching activities, representatives of Investigation Service of Ministry of Finance Georgia detained a specialist of of Samtskhe-Javakheti Forestry Service of LEPL National Forestry Agency on the fact of bribe-taking.

Investigation revealed, that accused person demanded the bribe in exchange for issuing false certificate, confirming the origin of the woods, in order to obtain illegal material benefit while exercising his official authority.

Investigation is underway under the first part of article 338 of Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 6 to 9 years.
