As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out by representatives of the Investigation Service of Ministry of Finance of Georgia, three employees of the Revenue Service of Georgia were exposed on fact of abuse of authority.

Investigation has determined that the accused persons, have exposed the fact of transportation of goods without bill of lading. For the above-mentioned violation, fine in the amount of GEL 10 000 should have been imposed in accordance with Georgian Law on Entrepreneurs. Instead of this, by abuse of authority, having financial interest, the accused persons did not react correspondingly on the exposed violation and their action caused damage for state budget.

Investigation is underway under first part of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Georgia which envisages imprisonment up to 3 years.
