As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, detained one person on the fact of deceitful attempt of misappropriation of another person’s property.

Investigation determined, that the accused person contacted one of the citizens with fraudulent intension, and assured him that in case of paying USD 3500, he could manage to employ him in one of the public services, including Ministry of Internal Affairs, on a high-paid position. With such criminal intension, the accused person asked and took part of money USD 2000 from the citizen in advance, this is when he was detained.

Investigation is underway under the second part of Article 180 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 4 to 7 years.
