Head of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia - Soso Ramishvili, together with his deputies and the heads of the LEPL - Revenue Service, hosted the delegation of the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia. The delegation was led by the Chairman of the Committee, Eduard Hakobyan.
At the meeting, the parties discussed the specifics of the activities of their respective agencies and important issues within their competence. It was highlighted that, within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the parties in 2023, the bilateral cooperation between the counterpart agencies of Georgia and the Republic of Armenia in terms of detection, prevention and investigation of crimes committed in the financial and economic field, has acquired an intensive character.
Representatives of the Georgian side shared their experience with members of the delegation regarding mechanisms for tracking the movement of goods, combating tax crimes, and the steps taken in the fight against cybercrime.
The parties discussed the challenges facing the two countries in combating financial-economic crime and agreed on the key directions for further deepening cooperation.
