Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia exposed one person on the fact of manufacturing and selling forged state license plates of a vehicle.

Investigation determined that person exposed in crime, in Batumi, using material and technical means of one of the companies, from November 2020 until May 2021, manufactured and sold forged state license plates of a vehicle to various interested persons.

As a result of the investigative activities, totally 23 units of so-called “paid” forged state license plates of a vehicle were seized. 

Investigation is underway under the second part of Article 362 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 3 to 6 years.
