As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia have imposed criminal liability on one person on the fact of falsification of coffee.

Investigation has determined that in Akhalkalaki Municipality, one of the individual entrepreneurs , was producing falsified coffee by mixing different crops as if it was natural, and was selling it in shops on the territory of Georgia.

As a result of investigative activities large quantity of falsified coffee and raw materials were seized.

Investigation is underway under first part of Article 197 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 1 to 3 years.
