THE INVESTIGATION SERVICE OF MINISTRY OF FINANCE OF GEORGIA HAS ARRESTED TWO PERSONS ON FACTS OF PREPARING AND SELLING FORGED DOCUMENTS AND BRIBERY

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, representatives of the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia arrested heads of the two commercial educational institutions on preparing and selling forged documents and bribery.

Investigation determined that in one case the accused person, having financial interest, prepared and sold forged Diploma of a Bachelor’s Degree of the Faculty of Law of one of the commercial educational institutions functioning in Adjara region for GEL 3 300.

In second case, head of one of the educational institution functioning in Imereti region prepared and sold a forged diploma verifying professional education with the specialty of an Office Manager for GEL 1 800.

Investigation is underway under first part of article 362 and fourth part of article 221 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 4 to 6 years.
