INVESTIGATION SERVICE HAS ARRESTED AN EMPLOYEE OF THE LEPL “PUBLIC SERVICE DEVELOPMENT AGENCY” ON BRIBERY

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out in coordination with General Inspection of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia, representatives of the Investigation Service of Ministry of Finance of Georgia have arrested senior specialist of LEPL “Public Service Development Agency” of Ministry of Justice of Georgia on bribery.

 

Investigation has determined that the accused person, who was a member of board of tender commission of LEPL “Public Service Development Agency”, have requested one of the entrepreneurs GEL 2500  as a bribe, in return of the assistance in a tender announced by the Agency. The Accused person took GEL 1000 from the entrepreneur in advance.

 

Investigation is underway under first part of Article 338 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 6 to 9 years.
