INVESTIGATION SERVICE OF THE MINISTRY OF FINANCE OF GEORGIA PURCHASED 40 VEHICLES INTENDED FOR OPERATIVE ACTIVITIES

Tenders announced by the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, on purchasing 40 vehicles (10 hybrid models out of 40 vehicles) for Investigation Service, were completed.

Both tenders were conducted, in full accordance with the procedures foreseen by the Law of Georgia on State Procurement.

Total price of 40 new vehicles (30 units of Skoda Octavia and 10 units of Kia Niro Hybrid models) intended for operative activities of Investigation Service equals GEL 2 035 550.

Necessity of renewing vehicle fleet of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia arouse from the circumstance, that terms of warranty and exploitation have been almost expired for the majority of those vehicles intended for operative activities and thus, their maintenance expenses are higher compared to their balance value.

Besides this, technical inspection of vehicles owned by the legal entities and state agencies becomes mandatory from July 1, 2018. It has to be noted that, major part of the vehicles owned by the Service is not eligible for the auxiliary criterias of the above mentioned technical inspection. Therefore, Investigation Service would be left without cars, this would interrupt the work of Investigation Service and hinder to perform its operative-searching activities in due manner.

Old vehicles of Investigation Service, will be passed to the Service Agency of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia.
