As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out by representatives of Investigation Service of Ministry of Finance of Georgia, two persons had been arrested on fact of misappropriation of large quantity of state property.

As a result of fraudulent actions the accused persons, using forged documents, illegally took possession on 2000 and 3000 square meters land plots in the ownership of state on the territory of Marneuli municipality, with the total market value of GEL 96 000.

During the investigation process, the damage caused by one of the accused persons (GEL 36 000) had been fully reimbursed.

Investigation is underway under the third part of article 180 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 6 to 9 years.

Currently, corresponding operative-searching activities are carring out in order to detect and expose other persons related to above mentioned crime.
