As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, detained 3 persons of the fact of storage of particularly large amount of excisable goods subject to marking, without excise marks. 

As a result of the investigative activities, 7 500 packs of different types of non-excised tobacco, with a market value of GEL 32 250, were seized, as well as a two vehicles driven by the detained persons.

Investigation is underway under the second part sub-point “c” and third part of Article 200 of Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 6 to 8 years.
