As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance Georgia exposed criminal liability upon seven persons and two organizers of the crime were detained on the fact of deception of state property in a large amount by an organized group.

Investigation determined that the accused persons using the fraudulently acceptance-delivery acts, registered 32,020 sq.m of state-owned land areas located in Chiatura municipality, having the total market value of GEL 29,660.

As of today, land areas have been seized and appropriate measures are being taken to identify other persons involved in the crime.

Investigation is underway under the second, third and fourth parts of article 180 of Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 7 to 10 years.
