As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out, representatives of the Investigation Service of Ministry of Finance of Georgia have imposed criminal liability on five persons on the fact of misappropriation of large quantity of state property by using forged documents, with a prior agreement by the group.

 

Investigation has determined that the accused persons have issued forged acts of delivery and acceptance, according to which they received ownership of the state lands.  Using those forged documents the accused persons have registered ownership on three land plots near Tbilisi, in the village “Kvemo Lisi” with total area of 4 500 square meters. Overall market value of the illegally registered property estimates GEL 334 287.

 

Investigation is underway under the second and third parts of article 180 and first part of article 362 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 6 to 9 years.
