As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out by representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, criminal liability was imposed on twelve persons on the fact of misappropriation of large quantity of state land plots, with prior agreement by group of people, by means of forged documents.
Investigation has determined that the accused persons, using forged acts of delivery and acceptance, which proved that state has passed ownership of the land to them, deceitfully registered 68 506 m2 land plot in Tbilisi, on the territory of former dendrological park, with total value of GEL 787 371. Currently the above mentioned land plot is attached with lien.
Investigation is underway under second and third parts of Article 180 and second part of Article 362 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 6 to 9 years.
