Head of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, Mr. Soso Ramishvili had a meeting with Claudio Ramponi- Customs, Tax, Excise, Anti Money Laundering and Counter Terrorism Financing Affairs Attaché of Italian Embassy, representative of Guardia di Finanza and Mr. Massimo Mariani, Commercial Attaché of Embassy of Italy to Georgia.
On an introductory meeting, parties discussed main directions of activities of two colleague authorities, Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia and Guardia Di Finanza of the Republic of Italy. Format and main directions of future cooperation was the main topic of the conversation.
As the Head of Investigation Service Mr. Soso Ramishvili mentioned, one of the priorities of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia is to share European experience, approaches and best practices in combating financial-economic crime. The authority is ready to deepen communication and activate cooperation with Guardia di Finanza of the Republic of Italy.
Italian representatives expressed their will to plan corresponding activities in specific directions in order to cooperate and share practice.
Deputy Heads of the Service, Heads of Investigation Department and Administration were attending the meeting.
