New Deputy Head of the Investigation Service of Ministry of Finance of Georgia has been appointed.

By order of the 1st Vice-Prime Minister, Minister of Finance of Georgia – Mr. Dimitri Kumsishvili, based on the presentation of Mr. Levan Gamkrelidze - the Head of the Investigation Service, Mr. Iga Zaalishvili was appointed as the Deputy Head of the Investigation Service.

As the Head of the Investigation Service, Mr. Levan Gamkrelidze mentioned, Mr. Iga Zaalishvili’s qualification and professional experience would have significant importance towards strengthening of the Investigation Service.

“The aim of our team will be improvement of the Service and increase of the efficiency of fighting against economic crimes. The efforts for prevention, detection and suppression of financial crimes will be intensified. Therefore, it’s important to appoint qualified and professional staff in the Investigation Service” - the Head of the Investigation Service, Mr. Levan Gamkrelidze said.

Before his appointment as the Deputy Head of the Investigation Service, Mr. Iga Zaalishvili served at different positions in state bodies. For the period of 2006-2008 he worked in the Department of Human Resources and Organizational Support at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia; in 2008-2010 he worked in structural units of Tbilisi City Hall; in 2011-2012 he was employed at the Ministry of Energy of Georgia; from 2012 up to date Mr. Iga Zaalishvili worked in a private sector.

Deputy Head of the Investigation Service of Ministry of Finance of Georgia graduated from Ilia Chavchavadze State University, having profession of foreign language specialist.
