As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, on the basis of the court ruling, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia detained four employees of Kobuleti Municipality on the four facts of bribery.

The investigation revealed, that the detainees, who were in charge of supervision and control over certain infrastructural projects at Kobuleti area, in exchange for not reacting to the violations on the site and signing the acts about the fulfilled work, demanded certain amount of money as a bribe from representative of the company carrying out the abovementioned works.

Investigation is underway under the first part of article 338 of Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 6 to 9 years.

Relevant investigative measures are currently carried out in order to identify other persons involved in the crime.
