As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out by the Investigative Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, two entrepreneurial entities were detected in illegal entrepreneurial activity.

The investigation found out, that the entrepreneurs were selling drugs subject to special control, without permits and licensing conditions and without prescriptions in their own pharmacies located in Kakheti region, Telavi and Lagodekhi, in order to obtain additional income. As a result, a large amount of psychotropic and medicines subject to special control, was fell into civil turnover with gross violations of regulation and permit conditions.

Investigation is underway under the article 192 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 1 to 3 years.

It shall be highlighted, that in the current year, officers of Investigation Service detected more than ten objects throughout Georgia, which were selling psychotropic drugs with violation of permit and licensing conditions.
