As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, in coordination with representatives of Revenue Service, exposed five facts of storing and transportation of goods subject to marking, without excise marks.

As a result of investigative activities, 2 890 packs of “HEETS” brand tobacco products, used for so called electronic cigarettes - IQOS,  designated for sales, were seized in Tbilisi, in the vehicles and apartments of persons exposed in the crime.

 
Total market value of those products without excise marks, seized as a result of investigative activities, exceeds GEL 15 000.

Investigation is underway under the first part of article 200 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 2 to 4 years.
