As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, exposed a fact of storing and transportation of alcoholic beverages, subject to marking, without excise marks, by group of people.

As a result of investigative activities, 57 bottles of different types of brandies, produced in Armenia, transported for the purpose of selling afterwards, were seized in Tbilisi, in the vehicles of those persons exposed in crime.

Total market value of alcoholic beverages without excise marks, seized as a result of investigative activities, exceeds GEL 3 000.

Investigation is underway under the second part of article 200 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 4 to 6 years.
