As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, exposed the fact of storing and transportation of alcoholic beverages without excise marks.


As a result of investigative activities, 58 bottles of different types of alcoholic beverage – whisky, without excise marks, intended for selling, were seized in Kakheti region, from a vehicle owned by a person exposed in crime. Total market value of the seized alcoholic beverages without excise marks estimates GEL 3400.

Investigation is underway under first part of article 200 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 2 to 4 years.
