INVESTIGATION SERVICE HAS EXPOSED FACTS OF FALSIFICATION AND UNLAWFUL USE OF ANOTHER PERSON’S TRADE MARK

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, have exposed facts of falsification and unlawful use of another person’s trade mark.

 

Investigation has determined that in Adjara region, one of the individual entrepreneurs, was producing lemonade in an artisan made enterprise, while unlawfully using another legal entity’s trade mark.

 

According to expertize conclusion, characteristics mentioned on the etiquette of the production, doesn’t match the content, qualities are changed, therefore the product is falsified.

 

Large quantity of lemonade and packaging materials are seized as a result of investigative activities.

 

Investigation is underway, under first part of Article 196 and first part of Article 197 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from   1 to 3 years.
