As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia exposed one person on the fact of violation of the sawmill registration requirements.
Investigation revealed that, in Borjomi Municipality, one of the citizens, in the basement of a residential house, had secretly placed and was operating round timber (log) sawmill, without proper registration.
As a result of the investigative activities, a ribbon saw was seized, as well as a large amount of planks and wooden logs.
Investigation is underway under the first part of article 2871 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment up to 1 year.
