As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities conducted by the Investigative Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, was revealed the group, consisting of three members, operating on the basis of preliminary agreement, with the purpose of misappropriation of the property of third party.

According to the investigation, the above mentioned persons, using forged notarized power of attorney, have misappropriated 3 263 sq.m. land plot owned by citizen located in Didi Digomi district. The defendants registered the land plot in their name and sold one part of it - 1 263 sq. m. Representatives of the Investigation Service revealed the perpetrators when they were selling the second part of the land plot- 2 000 sq.m.

At this stage of investigation, two persons are arrested and one is charged without presence.

Investigation is underway under the article 180, parts II and III of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 6 to 9 years.
