INVESTIGATION SERVICE IMPOSED CRIMINAL LIABILITY ON SEVEN EMPLOYEES OF TECHNICAL INSPECTION CENTERS ON THE FACTS OF COMMERCIAL BRIBERY AND NEGLIGENCE

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, imposed criminal liability on 7 employees of Centers of Primary Technical Inspection on the facts of commercial bribery and negligence.

Investigation determined that in the Centers of Primary Technical Inspection situated in Kutaisi, Tskaltubo and Mtskheta, affirmative certificates were issued for those vehicles being into technical disorder.

Persons exposed in crime were accused under article 2201 and the third part of article 221 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 2 to 4 years.

On this stage, investigation is underway on the violations detected in seven technical inspection centers located in Tbilisi, Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti and Kakheti regions, in order to study those violations and detect and expose the respective offenders.
