INVESTIGATION SERVICE SEIZED ILLEGALLY OPERATING SIX GAMBLING MACHINES

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out by representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, facts of illegal entrepreneurial activities, performed by the group of people, were exposed.

Investigation determined that group of people, in order to receive illegal income, placed gambling machines in crowded places, close to outdoor markets, in Tbilisi, Batumi and Senaki, without appropriate documentation determined under the law of Georgia on Licenses and Permissions.

As a result of investigative activities, illegally used 6 units of gambling machines were seized.

Investigation is underway under the second part of article 192 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 3 to 5 years.
