INVESTIGATION SERVICE EXPOSED TEN FACTS OF STORAGE AND TRANSPORTATION OF EXCISABLE GOODS WITHOUT EXCISE MARKS IN LARGE QUANTITY AND DETAINED TWEVLE PERSONS

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia exposed ten facts of storage and transportation of excisable goods without excise marks in large quantity and detained twelve persons for committing following act.

 

As a result of the investigative activities, 22 400 packages of various cigarettes without excise marks intended for selling, were seized from persons involved in the crime, in the regions of Samegrelo and Imereti.

 

The total market value of seized cigarettes without excise marks exceeds GEL 82 000.

 

Investigation is underway under the first, second and third parts of the article 200 of Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 6 to 8 years.
