Head of the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, Soso Ramishvili had a meeting with Nicolas Keefe, Regional Security Officer of the U.S. Embassy in Georgia. The meeting was attended by representatives of the U.S. Embassy Regional Security Office and the Investigative Service.

During the introductory meeting Head of the InvestigationService, Soso Ramishvili introduced to guests activities of the Service in field of fighting against financial-economic crime. On his behalf, Regional Security Officer of the U.S. Embassy revealed his interest considering detection and investigation of cases related to production and sale of forged money throughout the territory of Georgia, as well as forms of response to such crime. It was underlined at the meeting that the Investigation Service is implementing effective investigative and operational measures in the field of detection of forged money and subsequent suppression. In this direction the representatives of the Investigative Service informed the guests about the work they have done so far.

At the meeting parties agreed upon plans for future bilateral cooperation.
