As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out by the representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, two persons were brought to the criminal liability as accused on the fact of commercial bribery and manufacturing of forged documents.

The investigation determined that the accused persons, one of whom worked as inspector in the technical inspection center located in Tbilisi and was responsible for conducting testing of motor vehicles in accordance with the requirements of the technical regulations, in order to receive a material benefit, requested to the citizen and took certain amount of money, in exchange for a report of positive inspection was issued for the technically defective vehicle, at that time they were exposed.

The investigation is uderway under Articles 221 and 362 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 2 to 4 years.
